Norway

During the summer of 1988 I rode my bicycle down the length of Norway. I started by taking a ferry to the northern tip of Norway to a town called Kirkenes and riding back down to Oslo. The scenery was stunning, especially the fjords, and the countryside very sparsely populated lending itself to great camping. The roads were narrow with no shoulders, but that didn't matter since the traffic was negligible. The drawbacks were the rain, the introverted non-English speakers, and the high cost of food.
